Hello Susan!
Welcome to the network! Here you will find a community of compassionate people who understand life with TM. Our goal is to build a team of members who share in the interest of learning more about this disorder. Through individual and group research we are providing the resources available to strengthening and improving daily life. I hope you find more than you intended to find on this network. Again, welcome and thank you for joining us.

Sue, thank you for your encouraging words. i just had my six month date with TM. I'm encouraged you were walking by then. i just have movement in left leg while lying on right side. I am encouraged with even this. Did you get your walking back all at once or slowly? I know i lost it over six hours beginning with the horrible pain.
Blessings,
lora

Hello!

Thank you for being part of the Transverse Myelitis Network. Most of our advertisement is done through google with the use of blogs. When a person clicks on a blog, google lists the blog in their search engine. This attracts people to our site where they can get info on TM. Please take some time and goto: http://thetransversemyelitisnetwork.blogspot.com/ and click on as a follower of my blog so people can find our online community. Thank you for your time, and as always, thank you again for being part of our family. God bless you and your family.

Susan,

thank you for responding! When you say you got your walking back all at once i have so many questions.

1. how long were you without walking?

2. are you saying the same way you lost your walking the feeling and ability to walk or at least stand came back?

I am so so happy for you and I never give up hope!!!! I go to therapy twice a week and they put me in leg braces and have me stant between parallel bars and move my hips forward to walk. Secondly, my Vit D is very low and they have started my on Vit D 125mg twice per month. This is all Positive, I am so excited. I have always imagined my ability to stand would all come back at once. crossing my fingers. thank you!
